Case Studies
Project 1.
Whindale in Normanton - We were involved in designing and equipping the kitchen ensuring the facilities matched ours and our partners aspirations to deliver the highest quality service possible. Over a period of months prior to the opening of the facility we worked closely with our partners - South Yorkshire Housing Association consulting on the kitchen layout, equipment position and specification to ensure kitchen flow and this was all done within the budget. With our experience and understanding of the facility requirements we were able to make significant budgetary savings. A sliding scale of food costs was built in to this contract to enable the housing association according to occupancy.
The quality of service enjoyed by the Whindale residents is reflected in this site by being recommended for and achieving the highest health and hygiene issued by Wakefield council.
Project 2.
Pugneys - Cream Catering turned around this failing local authority café. The company was invited to intervene by our client. We assessed and instigated a policy designed to ensure service continuity at short notice. Rapid adjustment of the business model enabled us to achieve a profitable status within the first financial year, which allowed us to meet our contractual obligation to share profits with our client, improve customer satisfaction, and deliver higher quality and healthier foods.
