About Us
Cream Catering is a Social Enterprise providing catering services within sheltered housing schemes across Yorkshire. We employ a diversity of staff including fully qualified catering professionals on a full time basis and disadvantaged employees on a part-time basis. Our philosophy reflects WMDC’s policy on social inclusion; the company was set up to not only provide the highest quality catering service to housing association clients but also to provide employment opportunities to those from the local community who have experienced mental ill health.

Cream Catering provides residents of Yorkshire sheltered housing schemes with over 600 meals per week 365 days of the year. We provide fresh, good quality food that is nutritionally balanced and contributes towards the well being of our clients. We prepare all the meals in our own kitchen facilities on the premises using the freshest of ingredients and where possible locally produced ingredients. Our clients are served their meals in the bright and airy restaurants thus promoting a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Since food is an important part of everyone’s life, something to look forward to and savour we take great pride in providing an attractive selection of meals to tempt and interest our clients. At Cream Catering we take care to ensure a daily appetising meal selection is available to all our clients so that meal times in the restaurants are something to enjoy and look forward to. Besides a choice of 3 hot meal options on offer daily we also offer a range of lighter option snacks including salads, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. We willingly cater for a range of special dietary needs such as gluten intolerance, diabetic conditions or general rehabilitation and all meals offered are carefully planned by our Head Chef to ensure they are correctly nutritionally balanced and appropriate for elderly clients. Time and care is taken to ensure the recommended 5 portions of fruit or vegetables per day is incorporated into the meals and Cream Catering has achieved a 5 A Day Award in recognition of this.

Our fully equipped kitchen facilities are run by teams of experienced chefs and support staff. Being based on site allows us to build up a relationship with our clients allowing us to offer unique customer service and a “personal touch” that contributes towards a happy and relaxed restaurant environment.
